Dr. Asharaf Abdul Salam. holds a Ph.D. in Population Studies serves Center for Population Studies of King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. Formerly he was a member of Faculty of Public Health at Garyounis University in Libya. Prior to that, he was heading Pragna Research and Consultancy Services, a national level consultancy organization with research operations across four major states of India. He served as a faculty member of Health Management Research Institute in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a collaborative institute of Indian Institute of Health Management Research Jaipur and Saudi German Hospital Group, KSA. He has associated with various research organizations and infrastructure development institutions as consultant and advisor. He served the Non-Government sector in social research, health publications and health information system. He has developed training materials and has undertaken research projects. He is an alumni member of United Nations International Institute of Ageing, Malta and International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. His areas of interest are Public Health, Demographic Dynamics, and Determinants of Fertility.
