Dr. M. A. Martin-Luengo is graduated in Chemistry (UAM, Spain). In the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), she presented her Master work and her phD on supported catalysts, both with the highest qualification. As a Postdoctoral Grant Holder of the CSIC she worked in UK and Belgium. Afterwards she worked in the Scientific Engineering Research Council (SERC, UK) on preparation of synthetic fuels by Fischer-Tropsch Processes. In 1992 she gained a permanent position of Research Scientist in the CSIC (Spain), where she has been working since. Nowadays she is carrying out research on the preparation, characterization and use of materials, from Spanish agriresiduos, towards environmental and economic benefits, considering this subject of outmost importance worldwide and compulsory in less developed countries. She has more than 100 publications, 120 congresses, several patents, and is member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC, CChem) and the American Chemical Society.
