Prof (Dr.) Pranab Kanti Mallick obtained M.B.B.S from Sylhct Osmani Medical College in 1990. He received his post-graduate FCPS degree in Paediatrics from BCPS in 1997. He started his paediatrics career as assistant register (paed) in Chittagong Medical College Hospital in 1993. Therafter he hold various government post in paediatric department including paediatric consultant till 2007. After that period he resigned from government job. From 2008 he started his academic career as assistant professor of paediatrics at BGC Trust Medical College, Chandanaish, Chittagong. He became associate professor in 2011 and professor 2015 in the same medical college. His padiatric department training is recognised by Bangladesh college of physician and surgeon (BCPS) from 2016. Commencing career as Assistant Register to professor, professor Pranab engaged himself in research activities in addition to teaching post-graduate students and providing clinical service to hospital. He is an examiner of final porfessional M.B.B.S examination. He is also an examiner of different post-graduate examinations such as MD (paediatrics), MCPS (paediatrics), preli-FCPS & FCPS (paediatrics). He published more than 15 research papers in reputed medical journals of home and abroad (AAP, JPNR etc.). He presented his research papers in various national and international paediatric conferences. Prof. Pranab Served as peer-reviewer of many local, national and international journal. He served recently as a co-investigator of EPIC- III Study. He was honored as an editorial board member of "Journal of Neonatal Reasearch and pediatric care (JNRPC)". Prof. Dr. Pranab Kanti Mallick is involved in activities of many professional bodies. He is a number of Quality assurance body (QAB) in his institution and served as chairman and member secretary of library committee and scientific sub-committee respectively. He is also an editor of "BGC Trust Medical College Journal" Which is an ISSN indexed and BMDC recognize jounal. Prof. Pranab Kanti Mallick is honored by Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) as prestigious life member for his outstanding contribution in this field.
