Dr. Yong Teng is an Assistant Professor at the department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences, Augusta University, and a senior member of Georgia Cancer Center. He received his Ph.D degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2007. His areas of research include cancer metastasis, animal disease models, and drug discovery. His research team utilizes zebrafish and mice to study molecular mechanisms of cancer metastasis, as well as drug actions and delivery, with the goal of developing better therapeutics to treat human diseases, particularly for incurable metastatic cancer. Dr. Teng has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed research publications in reputed journals, such as Cancer research, oncogene. He also serves on many grant review panels and thesis advisory committee for doctoral and masters-level students. He has demonstrated an excellent commitment to serve the scientific community through numerous editorial and reviewing activities.
